Bromley High looks forward to exciting new building developments

In July 2019 the first spade will be dug into the ground to mark the beginning of an exciting redevelopment and extension of the Junior School site.

The innovative use of space will enable the pupils to benefit fully from the creative curriculum which is already in place and facilitate the drive to develop girls who are committed, composed, confident and courageous young women in the future.

The extension work is expected to be finished by November 2021 and we hope that our alumnae will be keen to return and see how the school has been transformed in the forty years since it relocated from the original site next to Bromley South station. When the Class of 1979 held their reception in the Sixth Form common room to mark the 40th anniversary of completing their A levels they were all impressed with the facilities from which the current girls benefit. In fact, only last week at our annual Old Girls Netball match whilst enjoying a well-earned glass of prosecco and slices of pizza several of our recent leavers cast an envious eye over the spiral staircase linking the common room to a separate study room as well as plans this summer to refurbish the ICT suites.

Our next alumnae event will be on Saturday 9th November, combining a drinks reception with our fireworks extravaganza.  Please come along simply to catch up with old friends and teachers or have a tour to see how GDST is constantly working on improving the facilities and experience on offer at Bromley High School.
