GDST Christmas Card Competition

Junior pupils across our family of schools have been getting into the festive spirit by designing Christmas cards as part of a GDST-wide competition.

Each school submitted one entry, under the theme of ‘Christmas scenes’, and colleagues at the GDST Trust Office voted for their favourite. Our winner is this charming design below by Nottingham Girls’ High School Reception student Emily.

As well as receiving £500 for her school’s chosen charity, Emily’s design will be turned into a ‘season’s greeting’ email sign off for all 3,700 GDST staff to use.

Well done to our runners up too! Check out these amazing festive artworks from our GDST junior girls from Blackheath High School, Croydon High School, Northwood College for Girls, Nottingham Girls’ High School, Portsmouth High School, Putney High School, Shrewsbury High School, Streatham & Clapham High School, Sutton High School, Sydenham High School and Wimbledon High School.

Talking about the competition, Isabella Sharp, GDST Head of Communications, had this to say:

“We have run this joyous initiative for several years now. Our girls really enjoy getting involved and each year produce fantastic, imaginative designs – this year was no different. A big well done to all of our students who got involved and special congratulations to our winner Emily”.
