GDST Junior Christmas Card Competition

Junior pupils across our family of schools have been getting into the festive spirit by designing brilliant Christmas cards as part of our annual GDST-wide competition.

Under a generic ‘festive’ theme, our junior schools submitted one whole-school entry into each of our categories, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) & Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

GDST Chief Executive, Cheryl Giovannoni, chose this year’s winners selecting the truly original and charming designs below.

EYFS & Key Stage 1 winner – Taaliah, Portsmouth High School

Key Stage 2 winner – Beth, Birkenhead High School Academy

As well as receiving a £50 National Book tokens voucher, our winners’ designs have been turned into a ‘season’s greeting’ email sign-off for all GDST staff to use.

Well done to our runners up too. Check out these amazing festive artworks from our GDST junior girls from Blackheath High School, Bromley High School, Brighton Girls, Howell’s School, Llandaff, Northampton High School, Northwood College for Girls, Norwich High School for Girls, Notting Hill & Ealing High School, Nottingham Girls’ High School, Oxford High School, Shrewsbury High School, South Hampstead High School, Streatham & Clapham High School, Sutton High School and Wimbledon High School.

Talking about the competition, Nicola Borrow, GDST Head of Communications, said:

“We have run this joyous initiative for several years now. Our students really enjoy getting involved and each year produce fantastic, imaginative designs – this year was no different. A big well done to all of our students who got involved and special congratulations to our winners Taaliah and Beth”.
