Mentoring at the GDST

The growth of mentoring continues to rise, with much of the media coverage on it focusing on the importance of mentoring to women and women’s networks. We’re right at the forefront of this movement, and we know it works, with a number of our own alumnae attesting to the power of it.
We are also in a unique position to offer mentoring, with an unrivalled alumnae network that has been smashing boundaries and glass ceilings for nearly 150 years.
With this network of some 70,000 driven, smart women – all part of the same family and with a desire to give back – we are now offering two mentoring schemes, each distinct in the way it works, but both with the same spirit at their core.
Sixth Form Mentoring
To enable every GDST Sixth Form student to connect with our alumnae family, we’ve teamed up with rungway.com, the mentoring app – so now, at the touch of a button, our students have a way of asking some of the burning questions they have about study and life after school, anywhere and at any time. If you’d like to find out more or join the GDST rungway mentoring community, just click below and follow the instructions to register.

Alumnae Mentoring
Our alumnae mentoring scheme has grown year on year since it was first set up in 2014, with around 600 alumnae now having taken part in what they overwhelmingly describe as a hugely positive experience. It runs as a traditional one-to-one mentoring programme, and we are opening applications on Thursday 21 February. So if you’d like to take part – either as a mentor or mentee, just look on our website for the application forms.
