Oxford High School’s Equality Group celebrate Pride month

As part of this year’s OHS prefect team’s agenda and as part of promoting equality in school, Oxford High’s Equality group are holding a series of LGBT+ themed events over Pride month and would love to have a collection of ‘coming out’ stories from alumnae. The OHS Equality prefect team, made up of Charlotte Harris and Zulekha Samiullah plus Sesha Nicholson-Lailey, Head Girl 2017-18, really want to highlight to current students how much this process can mean to all parties involved, regardless of sexual orientation.

The stories would preferably be less than 200 words, so that they are quick and easy to read for the students, and so that short quotes can be placed on a board in the Crush Hall. Oxford High are also looking for alumnae who may be interested in speaking to students about their experience in coming to terms with their own sexuality/gender identity, so if you would be interested, or know any other speakers who could come to Oxford High for discussions with the students, please let us know!
